About the Vodka

NEFT Vodka is crafted for long-lasting quality and does not go bad when stored properly. Thanks to its high alcohol content and durable aluminum-and-tin barrel, unopened NEFT Vodka can maintain its character for years when kept in a cool, dry place. Once opened, the vodka will still retain its smooth, crisp taste for an extended period if the barrel is sealed tightly and stored away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Yes, NEFT Vodka is pure distilled, gluten free, and free from any additives. Any gluten proteins present in our non-GMO grains are inherently separated from the alcohol during the distillation process and left behind. Because gluten is not volatile, it cannot vaporize and travel through the still with the alcohol. As a result the finished product is considered safe for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities.

NEFT means "oil" in Cyrillic, the language of many Eastern European countries. Before NEFT’s founder Katya Kuzmina moved to Austria in the 1980s, her family was in the oil business in Siberia. As an homage to their legacy, our container is the shape of an oil barrel, and our company and product are named NEFT.

NEFT Vodka prioritizes more sustainable choices throughout our production process. Our distillery in Austria is powered by low-carbon natural gas, and we are actively working toward using 100% renewable energy. Our signature unbreakable barrel is made from tin and aluminum and is significantly lighter than traditional glass bottles, helping reduce transportation emissions and overall shipping weight. Aluminum also contains an average of 70% recycled content, more than three times the amount commonly found in glass or plastic bottles. Tin is easier to recycle than mixed-color glass, which often ends up in general waste streams.
