NEFT means "oil" in Cyrillic, the language of many Eastern European countries. Before NEFT’s founder Katya Kuzmina moved to Austria in the 1980s, her family was in the oil business in Siberia. As an homage to their legacy, our container is the shape of an oil barrel, and our company and product are named NEFT.
NEFT Vodka is dedicated to supporting those in need. The brand is committed to helping with the physical and psychological wellbeing of at-risk women and children. Looking to support systemic solutions to the challenges facing women, children, and families today, NEFT Vodka has started it's 'Raise It Up' for Youth and Family Literacy initiative.
The NEFT distillery is nestled in Golling, Austria, a picturesque Alpine region near Salzburg steeped in centuries-old traditions. With a profound reverence for the land and its resources, this area yields some of the world's finest products and ingredients. Over a millennium ago, Golling became a pioneer in the art of fermentation and brewing, setting unparalleled standards that endure to this day.
Ekaterina Kuzmina is the founding visionary behind NEFT. Her strong sensibilities and values have shaped the brand. She wanted to create a spirit unlike any other that defied expectations about vodka.
Since our U.S. debut, NEFT has earned numerous accolades and awards, including a remarkable 98-point rating from The Tasting Panel magazine and Double Gold medals at the esteemed San Francisco World Spirits Competition – making us one of only two vodkas to achieve this consecutively for two years – and the prestigious title of "Best Vodka" in the same competition.

Our container is the shape of an oil barrel as an homage to our founder, Katya Kuzmina, and her family's legacy working in the oil business in Siberia before moving to Austria.
NEFT Vodka prioritizes sustainable choices in every aspect of our production. Our distillery in Austria is powered by low-carbon natural gas, and we are actively working towards utilizing 100% renewable energy. Our innovative, unbreakable barrel is made from tin and aluminum, significantly lighter than traditional glass bottles, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint during transportation. Notably, aluminum contains an average of 70% recycled content, which is more than three times the amount found in glass or plastic bottles. Tin, being easier to recycle, avoids the issues associated with mixing various colored glasses, which often end up in general waste streams.
